From the north: I-75 to Fruitville exit 210. East (left) to right at first light on Coburn.  Go to the end. Left on Palmer Blvd.  Short distance to green sign on left.
From the south: I-75 to Bee Ridge exit 207. Left ramp to first right on Cattlemen.  2 miles to right on Palmer Blvd. One mile on left to green sign at the entrance.

Welcome to our Animal Sanctuary

Big Cat Habitat and Gulf Coast Sanctuary

is a non-profit safe haven for big cats, bears, and other animals in need. Founded by Kay Rosaire who enjoys more than 30 years of experience working with and caring for exotic animals. She began rescuing big cats in 1987. Our goal is to educate the public by fostering appreciation for animals and stressing the importance of habitat preservation.

Friday evening guided tours will be held until our season opening in late fall.  Baby chimp Eli will be on display.  Gates open at 6pm; guided tour begins at 6:30pm.  Donation: $20 for all adults; $10 for children 12 andn under.

The Rosaires' special relationship with wild animals makes every demonstration thrilling to watch, with the opportunity to see the animals in a close encounter of the exotic kind! Be entertained by the individual personalities and characteristics of the animals. The Rosaire family's unique style of gentle handling, praise and treats encourages the natural behavior of the big cats.
